Is Sinclair Community College accredited? |
Answer / Solution |
Sinclair is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) (https://www.hlcommission.org/). The HLC is one of six regional institutional accreditors in the United States that are approved by the U.S. Department of Education. Sinclair has been continuously accredited by the HLC since April 1970. Founded in 1887, Sinclair has been a leader in the region for 131 years. Sinclair is consistently ranked among the top community colleges in America. In 1989, Sinclair was selected for membership in the prestigious League for Innovation in the Community College, and, in 2001, became one of the League’s elite Vanguard Colleges. "Vanguard" is a term designated by the League to recognize the top twelve two-year institutions in North America that focus constantly on student and learner access and success. |
